AMTA offers two types of practitioner membership Professional Membership —$235 + $25 Chapter Fee = $260 Total Professional members with active status are practicing massage therapists who meet one or more of the following qualifications: ·Graduation from a 500 in-class hour program, or ·A current license from one of the following: AL, AR (1988 or after), CT, DE (500 hours only), DC, FL, HI, IA, LA, MD, MS, MO (500 hours only), ME (500 hours only), NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, RI, SC, TN, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV, or the province of Ontario, Canada; or Certification by the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Student Membership -$79 + $25 Chapter Fee = $104 Total While you’re currently enrolled in an entry-level massage therapy training program, you qualify to join AMTA at the special $79 Student membership classification.
